Questions about commercial kitchen cleaning
FAQ
Site-wide answers
Cost, frequency, records and the jobs that belong to another trade.
What is the difference between a daily clean and a deep clean?
The daily clean is your team’s close: wash, wipe, mop, empty bins. A deep clean is a planned shutdown that removes built-up grease and carbon the close no longer shifts. One does not replace the other.
Do you cover the whole UK?
Yes. Commercial Kitchen Cleaning quotes work across the UK. Open Areas we cover for county and town pages, or send the postcode on the quote form and we will confirm the visit.
Will you guarantee a food hygiene rating?
No. Ratings are issued by the local authority and include management and structure, not only how the room looked after a clean. We clean and we record what we cleaned.
What is not your job?
Domestic homes, gas and electrical repairs, pest control, new ductwork, floor laying, grease-trap pumping, and fire-alarm servicing. If the enquiry is one of those, we will say so.
Can staff wash their own canopy filters?
Yes, if the filters are cool and the team is trained. That does not clean the duct or the fan, and it is not a TR19 certificate.
How do overnight visits work?
We start after service and aim to finish before the next food prep. You provide access, an alarm plan, and a real finish time for the pass. The clean itself is the service you booked.
How long does a deep clean hold?
Heavy frying or chargrilling often needs another full clean within two to three months. A moderate restaurant is often four to six months. A school servery or a café with little frying can wait until the next holiday, or about six months. The daily close still has to happen in between.
How often is TR19 extract cleaning due?
About 12 to 16 cooking hours a day is every three months. About 6 to 12 hours is every six months. About 2 to 6 hours is every twelve months. A deposit check shortens the date if the grease is already over the limit. An insurer can set a shorter interval. Follow the shorter date.
What if the extract clean is missed?
Grease left in the duct is a fire load. A policy that expects a TR19 record is not met by a hood wipe, or by a certificate that ignores a bend nobody opened. We record sections we could not reach.
What changes the quote?
Number of appliances, canopy and duct access, carbon thickness, cold rooms to empty, night work, and how long the kitchen can stay closed. Photos and the last inspection note make the quote faster.
How do we enquire without calling?
Use the quote form on this site or WhatsApp. Include the kitchen type, town, and when it can close. There is no phone number to ring on this website.
